FLYWHEN Evidence checked

2026 aircraft support guide

Find your drone. Check when it can fly.

Select the aircraft you own and Flywhen compares the forecast with source-checked wind-resistance and operating-temperature figures, plus a separate planning margin. This guide shows which models have built-in profiles and what to do when yours is missing.

Choose your aircraft

Weather planning only. Manufacturer instructions and local flight rules still govern every operation.

Selected models found in recent U.S. flights

An FAA Center of Excellence research team detected 5,565 aircraft through Remote ID sensors from January through November 2025. Make and model information was available for 4,662 of them. The table below selects current and widely used camera-drone models that matter to Flywhen users. It is not a complete market ranking.

Built-in aircraft profiles available now

Flywhen currently includes source-checked entries for DJI Neo, Flip, Mini 2, Mini 2 SE / Mini 4K, Mini 3, Mini 3 Pro, Mini 4 Pro, Avata 2, Air 2S, Air 3 / 3S, Mavic 2 Pro / Zoom, Mavic 3 Classic, Mavic 3 Pro, Mavic 4 Pro, Phantom 4 Pro V2, Inspire 3, Autel EVO Nano+, Autel EVO Lite / Lite+, Parrot ANAFI USA and Skydio 2+.

Some entries group more than one aircraft under one Flywhen option. The displayed source note states which model supplied the figure. If that source is not your exact aircraft, choose the custom option and use your own manual instead.

Choose the right setup for your aircraft

Aircraft entry fits

Select it in Setup

Flywhen loads its source-checked manufacturer figures, then applies your chosen planning margin. Confirm the displayed source note against your current manual before flight.

Enter its published figures

Choose My aircraft is not listed and build a custom profile from the official manufacturer documentation for that exact aircraft.

Older aircraft

Keep using the verified profile

An aircraft does not become unusable because a newer model launched. Battery condition, current documentation and the conditions at your site matter more than release year.

Flying for work? Match the aircraft and the task.

The same detection report found DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise, Mavic 3 Thermal, Matrice 30T, Matrice 4E, Matrice 4T and M350 RTK in active use. Those enterprise aircraft are not built-in Flywhen entries today, so use a custom aircraft profile from the exact manufacturer documentation. Then select the task profile that matches inspection, mapping, cinematic or spraying work. A task profile adds planning guidance without weakening the aircraft figures.

This dataset has real limits. Sensors were deployed at selected locations, only compatible Remote ID broadcasts could be detected, electronic line of sight affects coverage and the sampled areas may not represent the entire United States.

No reliable public dataset was found that ranks the exact global installed base by drone model. Retail rankings, search interest, app downloads and sensor detections measure different things.

What are you trying to solve?

Can I fly today?

Choose your aircraft and location. Flywhen compares each forecast hour with your limits and shows the next usable window.

Is the wind too strong?

Check sustained wind, gusts and modeled wind near your planned height. Ground-level wind alone can miss the conditions the aircraft will encounter.

Why is my model missing?

Flywhen adds built-in entries only when it can trace the figures to manufacturer documentation. Until an entry fits your exact aircraft, use a custom profile instead of a guessed value.

Is this flight authorized?

Flywhen cannot answer that. Check airspace, NOTAMs, permissions, aircraft instructions and local regulations separately before operating.

Check your aircraft against the next seven days

Choose the model, set your planned height and see when the forecast falls inside your operating limits.
