What Flywhen keeps free

The core planner works with the location you choose. Enter a place, choose the aircraft limits and task height, then inspect the complete week-ahead forecast available to Flywhen.

Your actual location

Search worldwide, use device location or save places locally in your browser.

Your planned height

Use modeled wind near the height of the operation instead of assuming surface wind tells the whole story.

The reason behind the result

Open an hour to see the checks, thresholds and forecast factor that changed the status.

How Flywhen evaluates a window

Choose the operation

Select the aircraft, task profile, planned height and limits that apply to the flight you are considering.

Resolve the forecast

Flywhen selects a weather model for the location, names its resolution and resolves available wind levels toward the planned height.

See what passed and what did not

Each hour is checked against the enabled limits. GO FLY means the forecast passed those checks, not that the operation is authorized or guaranteed safe.

Where UAV Forecast may fit better

UAV Forecast is an established native mobile app with a longer operating history, up to 15-day subscription forecasts and advertised no-fly zone and flight-restriction features. Flywhen does not currently replace a dedicated airspace or authorization service.

If those features are central to your workflow, UAV Forecast may remain the better fit. If you want a free, transparent starting point for week-ahead weather planning, try the same location in Flywhen and compare the result yourself.

Questions before switching

Is Flywhen really free?

Yes. Flywhen's current core weather planner is free to use and does not require a Flywhen account.

Is Flywhen more accurate than UAV Forecast?

Flywhen does not make that claim. Weather models can be wrong, local conditions can differ and forecast skill changes with location and lead time. Flywhen names the model and resolution so you can understand what produced the reading.

Does GO FLY mean it is safe and legal to launch?

No. GO FLY means the forecast passed the limits enabled in Flywhen for that hour. Check actual site conditions, aircraft instructions, airspace, NOTAMs, permissions and local rules before every operation.

Does Flywhen include airspace authorization?

No. Flywhen is a weather-planning tool. Use official aviation sources and the appropriate airspace or authorization service for the jurisdiction where you operate.

Forecasts can be inaccurate, incomplete, stale or interpreted incorrectly. Flywhen is a planning aid, not flight clearance, professional advice or a guarantee of a safe, legal or suitable operation. Read the safety and forecast limitations and Terms of Use.
